Gecko® tyres can now be used at the same hardness and in the same car set-up you normally use but you also have an option to go softer for more grip because of our superior wear resistance.
The tyres are packaged into polyethylene bags so that the rubber remains fresh at point of use.
The re-sealable bags can then be used to retain tyres for repeated use, if required.

In addition to the compounds and the unique way they are processed, we have also developed the Gecko® wheel that with its unique ‘Gecko® pad' design combined with the use of carefully selected polyamide grades now result in wheels of different flexibility to suit application e.g. nitro or electric but also with a high level of impact resistance

What is different about the Gecko® tyre?

We believe the Gecko® tyre enables you to take a tighter line around the bends allowing the power to go on even sooner out of the bend. Therefore you are basically driving a smaller distance on the track and as you can accelerate more quickly out of the corners, all this results in quicker lap times. It also appears that there is less sliding around the bends and therefore less ‘scrubbing' of the tyres resulting in more grip, and together with the lower distance travelled, a lower wear rate. Various test drivers have been showing significant improvement in their lap times very soon after their first use, without changing the car set-up and even quicker lap times are now being seen as they learn how to adapt their car to get the most out of their Gecko® tyres.

Future Plans

With our research capability combined with our new flexible tyre manufacturing processes we have a new technology that will be the basis for a successful ongoing new product development programme. This development programme has started with 1/10 th scale foam rubber tyres but we are also looking at other scale RC foam rubber car tyre developments. The aim of Adams Racing Limited is to keep on listening to our customers – the distributors, clubs, test drivers and the end users, who together give us the feedback in order to keep on improving the performance of our unique new tyres.
