Champ 1/8th Nitro oval Stock car tyres are made by Adams Racing Limited using Gecko foam rubber technology. Now a new 'DAMP' weather donut is available at a softer shore rating for even more 'wet traction'.
Also now available are the world championship winning 'Champ Pro' donuts that are in new softer grades. These 1/8th Nitro Oval donuts (that can also be glued to 1/10th TC touring car wheels) are available from Scott at scottgrocock@live.co.uk .The 'Champ' donuts are 35mm width and are 70mm OD when mounted on a 50mm diameter wheel.
You can also glue these donuts to the 50mm x 35mm wide 1/8th stock car wheels using a 'Glue Buddy' (see below) which is also available directly from Scott. The Glue Buddy can also be used to glue these donuts to other wheels such as various 1/10th touring car wheels with a simple adaptor (please see Scott for details).

1/12th Donuts

Gecko technology is used to manufacture 1/12th Electric Oval donuts and these are currently available from Kamtec Models as 'Kamtec Gecko 1/12th' (contact keith-dowsett@btconnect.com or see link:
These are 26mm and 55mm OD when mounted onto a 35mm diameter wheel and we have had some outstanding results on the 1/12th Mardave cars.
The following are some comments recently received by a multi national winner regarding using these 1/12th Geckos in Mardave saloon (Oval) racing.
Just wanted to drop you a line and say how much I like the Gecko range of
tyres. I started using them this year in the Saloon class, and I've had my
best season in over a decade with them. The 30s are absolutely brilliant
almost everywhere, and if I need a little more on the rear end the 27s have
got my back.
Since using the Geckos I went from a consistant 4th-5th place driver the
past few years to winning more Nationals in 2011 than anyone else in my class.
Also, the donuts come in bigger sizes than most other tyres, so I can run
them at club for weeks whilst theyre huge, with very little in the way of
negative handling consequences, then when they start to get down to sensible
size I save them for the Nationals. The extra width helps too - noone else makes tyres up to the legal maximum width for 1/12th oval, so if you useanything else you're losing out on rear grip every time you put the power
on'
The extra wear resistance will cover the premium paid and you will have a higher performing tyre. Try a 35 shore versus softer shores from other brands and still find more grip and a lot more life (so less tyres to glue and true). Why not see for yourself? Now available from Kamtec Models'.

Champ tyres made with Adams Racing Limited Gecko foam rubber using Gecko Tyres technology took all three podium places at the 1/8th Nitro Oval Stock Car World Championships held at the Notts & Derby Model Raceway last weekend with Mark Whittaker winning, Roy Watson in second and Scott Grocock in third and they were all on CHAMP/Gecko Tyres.
Gecko Tyres foam rubber technology dominates Oval RC car racing again.

Gecko 1/12th tyres are now consistantly on the winning 1/12th oval cars, all UK classes.
Where liquid additives are banned then Gecko tyres are best - they have all the grip you need.
The high grip/minimal lateral slide Gecko technology is now consistantly proving the tyre to beat in the regular 1/12th Oval National series from 2009 and now 2010.
Gecko 1/12th tyres also dominated the 1/12th stock car Oval Dutch open earlier this year.
Also Gecko 1/12th is practically unbeatable in 1/12th circuit racing in UK'Mardave' type series where the use of additive is banned.
Again Gecko technology rules supreme handling the lower grip carpet conditions best.
For those clubs not wishing to use additive then Gecko technology tyres will give you outstanding results with excellent grip and wear resistance.

Running Gecko Foams on his F109 from 3 Racing, Dez Chand, Editor of Race Car Magazine, and RC F1 fan, has been competing at tracks around the country to evaluate their performance. Using clubs running regular F1 meetings including Ardent Raceway, Stafford, Don Valley, Tamworth and Bedworth to set up and evaluate the new Gecko F1 tyres, Dez has gone on to clinch the winter series title at Tamworth, a 7 round indoors series on carpet, which has seen 4 different winners in this close competition running Mardave G2 motors as a sensible indoor formula. The Gecko tyres proved consistent and reliable, requiring minimal additive to perform, usually just a wipe on and wipe off to clean the tyre of all the pick up from the previous race.
